Maxim Model Jody Palmer: A Hometown Hottie

Maxim magazine hosts the search for Hometown Hotties yearly. The contest is part of the magazine's official website promotion. Photos, bios, and videos of candidates are posted on the site for fans to browse. The winner depends on the editor's pick plus votes cast online. The hottie of the search will be given the opportunity to be Maxim's cover girl.
Because of the popularity of the magazine company and the opportunity to become a model, many applicants send their photos and bio online and out of the many, few will be chosen to become the finalists of the search. In 2007, Maxim model Jody Palmer Anahuac, Texas sent her application and was included in the top 1,000 candidates which Maxim posted in their website (http://www.maxim.com) for fans to browse and vote for. After the votes have been cast and tallied, the list of candidates narrows down to the top 100 candidates who get the highest votes from fans. Again, Maxim Model Jody Palmer was included in the top 100. After the screening, the 100 finalists are prompted to submit their homemade videos best expressing why they deserve to win the contest. The videos reveal not only the physical appeal of the candidates but also their creativity and character. The videos are then compiled, edited and posted by Maxim on their website again for fans to browse and watch. Jody Palmer was in Athens, Greece at that time working on a modeling project. So, she shot her video all by herself and alas, the video came out really great!

After a couple of weeks, Maxim model Jody Palmer received a phone call from Maxim magazine announcing that she was included in the top 10 finalists. The 10 finalist did a photo shoot for Maxim with a Mardi Gras theme. Matching the theme, the photo shoot was taken in Jean Lafitte Swamp and Air boat Tours in New Orleans. Aside from the photo and video shoot, Maxim Model Jody Palmer hosted a video in a warehouse where all the Mardi Gras floats are kept.
